Student Groups: Group travel health insurance works for school groups taking trips abroad. Whether it’s a class field trip or a study abroad trip, Atlas Group insurance can provide travel medical coverage and travel assistance services to students as well as faculty. Coverage is available to U.S. students traveling outside of the country as well as to non-U.S. students and faculty traveling abroad, including to the U.S.

You could quite possibly find yourself at a local medical facility that does not have the medically-necessary treatment to save your life or limb. That’s why Atlas Group offers up to $1,000,000 to cover eligible costs associated with your covered emergency evacuation to the nearest qualified hospital. |
Political Evacuation | If the U.S. government issues a level 3 or level 4 travel advisory for your destination country after you have departed for your trip, Atlas Group will cover eligible costs of transporting you to the nearest country of safety or back home. Plus, our World Service Center will help coordinate your new departure arrangements. |
Natural Disaster – Replacement Accommodations | If you are evacuated from paid accommodations due to a covered, forecasted natural disaster or following a covered natural disaster strike, you will receive up to $250 a day for up to 5 days to pay for replacement accommodations. |
Trip Interruption | Under certain covered scenarios (like the unexpected death of an immediate family member), this benefit will cover the cost of a one-way plane ticket to return you to your home country. |

If your passport or travel visa is lost or stolen, this benefit can provide up to $100 in reimbursement for its replacement. |
Bedside Visit |
If you are confined to a hospital intensive care unit following a covered, life-threatening bodily injury or illness, you will receive up to $1,500 for the cost of a round-trip ticket for one relative to the terminal serving the area where you are hospitalized. |
Crisis Response |
Atlas Group offers up to $10,000 in coverage to offset ransom, personal belongings surrendered during a kidnapping, and Crisis Response fees, as well as access to experts to coordinate with law enforcement and manage/execute negotiations during a covered kidnapping. |
Personal Liability |
Atlas Group offers up to $25,000 for expenses associated with a third-party injury or the damage/loss of third-party personal property. This benefit applies only to court-entered eligible judgments or approved settlements. |
*The acute onset of a pre-existing condition is a sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence of a pre-existing condition which occurs spontaneously and without advance warning, either in the form of physician recommendations or symptoms. Treatment must be obtained within 24 hours of the sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence. Chronic and congenital conditions, complications or consequences of a chronic or congenital condition, or conditions that gradually worsen over time are excluded from coverage.
